CMMC · FedRAMP · ATO / ATO-C · RMF · STIG
InstaProd brings 15+ years of mission-focused federal security program leadership. CMMC for defense contractors. FedRAMP for cloud providers. ATO and ATO-C through the full RMF lifecycle. STIG implementation across hybrid DoD environments. Built for your program, not a generic checklist.
U.S. DoD Program Experience
15+ years leading ATO, ATO-C, FedRAMP, CMMC, and RMF programs inside real DoD, federal, and state environments. Agencies including the Defense Health Agency and Wisconsin Department of Administration. The quality of our evidence packages, the precision of our scope definitions, and our speed through assessments reflect that direct operational experience.
Led CMMC readiness and ATO-C programs across systems supporting over 600 U.S. DoD DHA healthcare facilities, achieving readiness within eight months under tight DoD timelines.
Drove FedRAMP authorization readiness from system boundary definition through NIST 800-53 control implementation, SSP development, security testing, and continuous monitoring standup.
Operated across the complete RMF lifecycle: categorization, control selection and implementation, assessment, ATO/ATO-C authorization, and ConMon. Hybrid AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
Led enterprise systems through complex ATO and conditional ATO-C processes under tight timelines. Full package development: SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and IRPs through to authorization decision.
Implemented DoD STIGs across heterogeneous systems including on-prem VMs, AWS GovCloud, and Azure Government, with automated vulnerability management and real-time ConMon dashboards.
Authorization readiness across cloud environments under FISMA and DoD governance: system boundary definition, asset inventories, NIST 800-53 control mapping, and 3PAO coordination.
Every engagement produces repeatable, self-service compliance SOPs and security packages. Your teams sustain authorization independently after the engagement ends.
Client Results
Direct feedback from clients who commissioned the work.
"InstaProd led Stryker associated systems through CMMC 1.0 readiness within eight months and FedRAMP authorization readiness over approximately 18 months, coordinating system boundary definition, asset inventories, NIST control implementation, gap remediation, SSP development, POA&M management, security testing, and continuous monitoring. They navigated complex medical-device integrations, legacy infrastructure, sensitive patient data, and cross-functional engineering dependencies while establishing repeatable, audit-ready security processes aligned with federal requirements."
"Outstanding execution on enterprise-wide security and privacy governance: defining control ownership, formalizing data-sharing agreements, implementing data retention and secure disposition strategies, establishing AI governance and sensitive-data protection guardrails, and institutionalizing risk and privacy assessments. The team developed audit-ready documentation, repeatable control procedures, and self-service compliance SOPs that empowered business leaders to independently sustain governance. Capabilities directly transferable to CMMC readiness and continuous security monitoring."
The Compliance Landscape
All 110 NIST 800-171 controls, a current SPRS score, and 72-hour incident reporting are required in every DoD contract handling CUI. Active today regardless of where final rulemaking lands.
Contractually binding now
Billing the government while out of compliance is grounds for civil action. No breach required. DoJ has pursued CMMC and FedRAMP violations.
Honeywell: $2.04M · LOGZONE: $507K
Fewer than 100 C3PAOs are accredited nationwide. Organizations starting now are locking assessors that others will wait months for.
C3PAO wait times: 24 to 30 months
CMMC Services
The CMMC program is undergoing final rulemaking. The requirements under DFARS 252.204-7012 are active today and enforceable. Every phase of our work produces deliverables you own: for annual self-assessments, C3PAO audits, and every future defense bid.
Map where CUI flows across your environment. Shrink the CMMC boundary so only systems that must comply are in scope. This is the highest-leverage step in any CMMC program.
Evaluate all 110 practices against your current state. Every gap documented with an owner, risk rating, and remediation path. Output: risk-ranked register and POA&M framework.
Prioritize and close the gaps that matter most. We guide your teams through policy updates, technical controls, and evidence build-out with a clear roadmap from day one.
Build the System Security Plan, control narratives, evidence repository, and assessment package your C3PAO needs. We run a mock assessment before you submit.
Calculate and submit your Supplier Performance Risk System score to DoD. Required under DFARS 252.204-7019 and visible to all your prime contractors.
Build the monitoring program, evidence refresh cadence, and supplier oversight framework that keeps you compliant after certification, not just on audit day.
FedRAMP Services
FedRAMP is mandatory for any cloud product or service sold to a U.S. federal agency. The path from initial scoping to Authorization to Operate is long and requires documentation quality that withstands PMO and JAB scrutiny. We have done this work from the inside.
Sponsor agency drives the ATO. Best for vendors with an active agency sponsor. We prepare the full package and coordinate with your agency POC through the authorization process.
Joint Authorization Board review, the highest federal recognition. Requires FedRAMP Connect prioritization. We build the P-ATO package to the PMO's evidence standards.
Not yet pursuing a sponsor but need a defensible security posture? We implement the NIST 800-53 control baseline, draft the SSP, and prepare you for when the window opens.
Define what is in scope: system components, data flows, interconnections, and the authorization boundary that the SSP and 3PAO will assess against.
Map NIST 800-53 controls to your environment. Implement, document, and gather evidence across all applicable control families for Low, Moderate, or High baseline.
Draft the System Security Plan, implement policies, and prepare the evidence package for your Third Party Assessment Organization. We run a readiness review before they arrive.
Build the continuous monitoring program, POA&M management cadence, and incident response framework that keeps your ATO current after authorization is granted.
How We Work
CMMC and FedRAMP share the same foundation: scope definition, gap analysis, control implementation, documentation, and ongoing monitoring. We run both programs through the same disciplined approach and can coordinate them in parallel when your timeline calls for it.

CMMC in the Field
Not every CMMC program starts from a clean slate. This engagement involved a major power generation company supplying critical infrastructure and backup power systems to federal agencies. CUI was embedded across engineering documentation, service contracts, and field technician workflows. The environment was hybrid: on-prem OT systems, a corporate Azure tenant, and dozens of field locations. Getting to CMMC required building from the ground up.
No formal SSP. SPRS score not submitted. CUI scattered across uncontrolled file shares, email, and technician laptops. Three separate IT environments with no unified access control policy. DFARS 252.204-7012 was active in existing contracts.
Traced CUI flows across engineering drawings, federal maintenance contracts, procurement data, and field service records. Reduced the CMMC boundary from 40+ systems to 11 in-scope assets. Excluded OT equipment through enclave controls. Documented in a formal System Security Plan.
Evaluated all 110 NIST 800-171 controls against current state. Produced a risk-ranked POA&M with ownership, timelines, and remediation guidance. Prioritized MFA enforcement, endpoint protection, audit logging, and media protection. Supported the technical team through implementation.
Built the complete C3PAO audit package: SSP, evidence repository, control narratives, and supporting policies. Ran a mock assessment against the final scope before submission. Calculated and submitted the SPRS score to PIEE. Program achieved C3PAO audit readiness within the contract timeline.
Limited Availability
We offer a defined, bounded first engagement for CMMC, FedRAMP, or ATO/RMF programs that gives you a clear picture of your compliance exposure before any long-term work begins. It produces tangible deliverables you own. Not a sales presentation.
This engagement is built on the same methodology we used inside real DoD and federal programs including the Defense Health Agency and Wisconsin Department of Administration. It is not a diagnostic brochure. It is a working assessment.
All deliverables are yours to keep, regardless of whether you engage further. There is no commitment required to continue.
We accept a limited number of scoping engagements per quarter to maintain quality. Availability is confirmed after a brief intake call.
Scoping Engagement
CMMC, FedRAMP, or ATO/RMF Readiness Assessment
All deliverables are yours to keep regardless of whether you engage further.
CMMC, FedRAMP, ATO, or RMF. We scope the program from there. 15+ years of federal authorization experience. Assessor and 3PAO slots are scarce. Organizations that start today are locking capacity their competitors cannot get for another two years.
